Advise JV company members.

Shares responsibility of the “hub” of JV activities and shares accountability for JV activities and deliverables

Provide input on the Portfolio’s budget and control expenses of the function Functional Roles and Responsibilities

Assist in the portfolio’s PMO efforts to ensure that the company’s best interest are served and the JV agreements can be executed successfully.

To co-manage schedules, budgets, resources and deliverables for Joint Ventures and other portfolio negotiations

Co-Manage documentation, approvals, and governance activities of new and existing JVs

Perform commercial analysis and financial modelling including sensitivity analysis around the key variables such as financials, performance of the assets, contracted rates and geopolitical risks, etc. in collaboration with company Finance and input from business stakeholders.

Lead due diligence review on potential JV partners, summarizes key findings and suggests way forward including risks mitigations strategies.

Supports and coordinates the establishment of all necessary legal documentation supporting the JV formation and implementation (i.e., Shareholders agreement, Management fees, etc.) from a financial perspective.

Monitors and administers the execution of the JV agreement throughout the full JV life-cycle, resolving any potential issues.

Manage financial reporting processes, monitor progress against budget and carry out periodic reviews, performance and valuation of assets and report findings to the Finance Director.

Reviews financial performance reports and trends from the joint ventures, highlights any emerging concerns and recommends potential resolutions.

Supports the Head of JV Portfolio in ensuring that company interests and rights, as the JV partner, are protected throughout the JV life-cycle.

Leads knowledge sharing sessions to share end of stage project lessons learned and work with the internal stakeholders to identify appropriate responses as required.

Provide support, service and advise on all financial matters to the company’s management, i.e. budgets preparation, and presentation, provide input to management accounting, MIS and all other financial and non-financial reports and statements

Ensure timely preparation of the financial budget and forecast for the portfolio in line with company requirements, working in coordination with Corporate Finance and portfolio company departments and other company departments

Ensure timely preparation and communication of periodic financial reports to senior management based on the guidelines defined

Consolidate and review key financial information within established timelines in areas such as operating results and budget versus actual and also report any issues with respect to planning and budgeting to the Head of JV Portfolio

Monitor the ongoing financial performance of the portfolio and provide continued visibility to management

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor’s degree education with relevant professional qualification, such as CFA, CIMA etc.

MBA preferred

3 to 7 years’ experience, with at least 3 years’ experience in M&A, transaction advisory, or portfolio management

Demonstrable financial and commercial knowledge of JVs and investment projects

Financial analysis and modelling knowledge and capability

Communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to lead and facilitate group meetings with senior stakeholders and external vendors

Demonstrated track record of relationship building with more senior stakeholders

Proficiency with financial modelling in excel

Excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks

Proficient in English language, Arabic would be an advantage
