Control Engineer Job In Abu Dhabi

Responsibilities:

Required knowledge and experience in Advanced Process Control (APC) for (Honeywell and Yokogawa).

Involved in designing and developing new control systems related to APC, also testing, maintaining, and modifying existing systems.

Monitor and inspect the instrumentation and controls (I&C) installation activities of the Contractor with regards to progress, compliance with the Contract and applicable codes/standards, quality, safety and environmental acceptance.

Review and approve site related I&C equipment design and engineering matters.

Coordinate with IT/OT and Digital Oil Fields focal points on the technical requirements and standards compliance.

Ensure safety functions are integrated into all aspects of work for all personnel.

Review and approve the proposed APC test procedures done by the Contractor. Witness and participate in such tests and review the related test reports.

Attend the regular (daily and weekly) Site coordination meetings with the Contractor and the monthly progress review meeting (when held on site or on Teams).

Preform site visits and data collection activities.

Prepare the regular Site progress reports for the I&C APC related systems as required.

Maintain records for the part of variations by either the Contractor or Client including the necessary evidence.

Review and confirm the completeness and correctness of the installation and configuration Handover Packages as prepared by the Contractor.

Review the preliminary documentation and the commissioning O&M manuals submitted by the Contractor.

Assist in the coordination of I&C equipment works with civil, mechanical and electrical works to avoid conflicts and minimize delays of the projects.

Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards, especially with requirements.

liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant stakeholders.

Knowledge in project management execution, cost, and time constrained environments.

Qualifications:

Specific degrees in control and instrumentation engineering are available.Electrical and electronic engineering degrees are also popular with C&I engineers are acceptable.

Required knowledge in Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Preferable in (Honeywell, Yokogawa, Schneider, and ABB).

Required knowledge and experience in programmable logic controllers (PLC) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).

Experience with OPC servers and Knowledge in OSI PI historian are required.
