Key Accountabilities:

Independently set up credit policy framework and implement credit control processes for effective Credit exposure management – for both existing and potential customers.

Developing Credit evaluation metrics and implementing credit approval process.

Assessing credit of corporate and institutional customers (involving management, industry & and financial risk analysis) on a case-to-case basis, to set up counterparty credit exposure limits.

Ensuring proactive credit management with credit limits monitoring, and updating credit limits using pre-defined criteria.

Establishing a continuous feedback loop with AR to evaluate the credit performance of existing customers.

Coordinate with IT to ensure credit limits & and controls are set up in the system and are being adhered to by the sales/AR teams, and exceptions if any are regulated through standard workflows and approval processes.

Sourcing client credit history, liaison with Ittihad Credit Bureau, Banks, Credit Rating companies, etc. for credit scores and default history.

Provide necessary inputs to Finance for receivable provisioning/write-off decisions.

Support Treasury and Corporate finance director in management of other key financial risks- for e.g. management of any commodity risk exposure like Fuel, management of working capital investment, management of bank covenants

Expected Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.

CA / CPA / ACT / ACCA / CFA or MBA (Finance major) or equivalent

Experience and Skills Set:

10 – 12 years of experience with a large corporation in the relevant field of credit risk management.

Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, understanding key ratios (e.g., liquidity, leverage), and interpreting financial data to assess creditworthiness.

Ability to develop and utilize credit risk models for assessing and managing credit risk exposure.

Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate various types of financial risks (credit, market, operational) through risk assessment methodologies and risk mitigation strategies.

Strong communication skills to convey complex risk analysis findings to stakeholders, as well as preparing comprehensive reports and presentations.

Skills in managing credit portfolios, including diversification, monitoring risk exposure, and implementing strategies to optimize portfolio performance while controlling risk.
