Key Accountabilities:
Manage, not only coordinate, the assigned development from concept to completion
Scope, plan, contract and coordinate internal allocated resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the development activities
Liaise with the relevant line managers in the Development Engineering Division to ensure feasible (technical, schedule and cost) work packages as well as resource allocation
Create and maintain the RASI (responsible, accountable, support, information) table to clearly define roles
Identify risks, generate and maintain the Risk Register to capture mitigation plans, status reporting and risk closure approvals/ sign-offs
Contribute and partake in the project management team thereby ensuring that the output of the development conforms with the expectations of the product,
Lead and mentor Junior Project Managers to facilitate projects and perform assigned responsibilities
Experience & Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering/Technology degree and/or equivalent technical qualification in the field
Working knowledge in the broad spectrum of product development as related to guided munition development and manufacturing
Project Management Professional certification/equivalent of higher (e.g. MBA) a distinct advantage
At least 8/15 years (B.Eng / B.Tech.) or 7/10 years (M.Eng / M.Tech.) of related experience, preferably, in the aerospace industry
Development experience in at least one of the relevant engineering disciplines such as mechanical, mechatronic, electrical, electronic, software or aeronautical
Experience in managing a system/sub-system through more than 2 of the development cycles
Key Skills:
Attention to detail to ensure completeness in the scoping of the work
Ability to optimise development team interaction and maximise synergy
Verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Weapon system/sub-system development, including target setting, specification, concept design, detail design, calibration, testing and evaluation, verification, validation and qualification
MS Office, Project, Excel and Financial Database experience
Working knowledge of development process safety and mission critical functions
