Conduct & regular inspection for all areas in the hotel, implement site specific control measures to minimize hazards related to EHS and Food Safety.
Monitor / identify relevant changes in EHS / HACCP local regulations and laws and update the internal procedures, policies and forms accordingly
Drive improvement and track goals achievement through collection, analysis and communication of EHS goals and measurements
Manage and control all documents (manuals, policies, procedures, logs) related to Environmental Health and Safety measures, HACCP and the corresponding reports.
Conducting internal Food Hygiene audit & recommending the corrective actions verifying the closure of the findings.
Preparing training programs related to EHS and Food safety (as per local and Minor Hotel Group requirements). Verify also that the team members are trained on the basic EHS identified for their departmental operations.
Verification of the CCP monitoring & HACCP records.
Perform annual review of EHS & HACCP Manual or when and where it is required.
Investigation of EHS incidents, Food poisoning allegations & preparing the final report finding the root cause.
Conducting monthly HACCP/EHS meetings & providing recommendations to Management for improvements in the Food Safety and EHS.
Verify the compliance of monthly Microbiological & Chemical analysis reports of Food, Water & Ice against required standards.
Monitoring the receiving & rejection policy of food items in to the Hotel
Conducting Basic Food Safety internal Training for food handlers
Leading sustainability implementation, training, auditing and monitoring.
Assisting departments in conducting Risk assessment for all activities in the Hotel
Leading evacuation drill exercise and emergency preparedness exercise for the team members.
Ensure the ADEHSMS (Abu Dhabi Environment Health and Safety Management System) and ADFCA (Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority) regulations and requests are fully implemented and adhered to.
Updating and communicating the team with latest changes in local and international regulations related to Food Safety and EHS
Sustainability, Health & Safety
Always adhere to sustainability practices of minor hotels.
Minimise negative environmental impacts, save energy, water
Adhere to waste management program, segregate waste and do not pollute local environment. Reduce and Reuse
Adhere to HACCP & OSHAD safety standards
Report accidents and violations
Needs to take initiatives for all OSHMS activities in the hotel.
Communicate with General Manager for additional resources.
Scheduling internal audits, management reviews and OSHMS monthly meetings.
Monitoring OSHMS legislative requirements and compliance including safe work procedures.
Providing advice and assistance on OSH to management and employees.
Report to DCT Abu Dhabi in regular intervals or whenever needed;
Stimulating a high level of safety awareness always
Assign responsibilities to other team members whenever needed.
Assisting Supervisors to develop and implement the OSH procedures.
Checking the needed corrective actions are completed within time and it is effective.
Reviewing safety reports and inspections;
Preparing and participating in safety meetings and programs;
Facilitating Tool Box Talks on a regular basis;
Insisting on correct and safe practices always;
Preparing and conducting project safety inductions;
Investigating and developing new OH&S initiatives;
Conducting incident investigations;
Leading by example and promoting OH&S at every opportunity;
Facilitating the maintenance of all records as required under the OSHMS;
Participating in regular workplace inspections and ensure that any improvements resulting from such an inspection will take appropriate action upon the required time frame;
Monitoring and conducting essential trainings for OSHMS;
Ensure all reported incidents are investigated properly;
Ensure OSHMS targets and goals are met.
Conducting spot checks.
Ensuring Corrective actions are completed within time.
Ensure daily safety checklists are completed by departments.
Ensure OSHMS monitoring program is effective.
