Responsibilities
Principal Accountabilities:
Reviews module transportation and loadout plans and procedures and ensures Contractor compliance
Reviews module transportation calculations and confirms engineering design.
Reviews and inspects module transportation fleet (vessels, SPMT’s, etc.)
Coordinates with module transportation specialist contractor
Ensures all preparations for module load-in / load-out are completed prior to load-out (ground compaction, anchoring, etc.)
Participates in “Go/No-Go” reviews for module transportation load-in/load-out and ensures all actions are closed
Witnesses all module loadouts and ensures
Lead investigation and analysis of any module transportation accidents / incidents in liaison with HSE.
Work in line with HSE Policy and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates
Ensure mandatory usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), measure safety performance and reinforce safe work practices.
Qualifications
Master Mariner Certificate of Competency (foreign-going) or Technical Degree with proven track record in managing projects and support operations in Oil & Gas Industry or equivalent experience.
12 years post-qualification experience in the marine industry, of which at least 7 years as Master in Off Shore oil and gas and 5 years in offshore projects as superintendent /supervisor /or marine specialist.
Previous offshore module load-in / load-out experience
Alternatively, experience in management as a key position in Off Shore support marine operations.
Excellent negotiating skills to resolve issues with contractors are required.
Excellent logistic, planning, organizing and coordination skills are required.
Excellent written and spoken English are required.
Knowledge of written and spoken Arabic is essential.
Good communication skills are essential.
Ability to remain abreast with developments in standards and marine related activities.
