Roles and Responsibility

• Manage the POS systems implementation as per the plan, ensuring their accurate configuration, customization, and continued performance optimization.

• Build and maintain business requirements of the POS systems releases

• Coordinate/manage integration of the POS systems with the other systems such as the sales and distribution systems, the station systems, the contact center systems etc….

• Lead the QA and system acceptance of the POS systems releases

• Manage day to day relationship with the POS systems vendor

• Responsible for the POS systems internal SLAs

• Manage and enforce SLAs with vendors

• Ensure the security and compliance of POS transactions with industry standards and regulations.

• Analyze POS transaction data to monitor sales, assess system performance, and identify opportunities for enhancements and cost-efficiency.

• Continuously improve the performance and capabilities of POS systems, including integration with payment gateways and financial institutions.

• Facilitate training to end-users, Service Delivery team, and POS operators to maximize system utilization and troubleshoot common issues through the vendors.

• Collaborate with POS system vendors and payment solution providers to optimize system operations, resolve technical issues, and stay informed about system updates.

• Generate reports and analysis related to POS system operation to provide insights and information for stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for POS systems, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and User Manuals.

• Plan and execute system maintenance activities, including updates and patches, to ensure minimal downtime.

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Experience:

• Proven experience in commercial website/mobile app system management or a related role.

• Proficiency in POS system software and technology.

• Knowledge of data security and compliance best practices.

• Experience in the transport industry (train, air, mass transit) is advantageous

Other Skills:

• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication, collaboration, and training skills.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on system optimization.

• Relevant certifications in POS systems and payment processing are advantageous.
