What You’ll Do

Develop and execute a comprehensive audit plan based on risk assessments, changes in business operations, and regulatory environment.

Manage the full life cycle of audit requirements: planning, fieldwork and reporting to Al Etihad Payments leadership and the Board of Managers.

Complete assigned audits within budgeted timeframes and costs.

Recommend appropriate and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues.

Prepare clear, concise, and impactful audit reports for discussion with the Al Etihad Payments leadership and the Board of Managers.

Apply comprehensive understanding of internal audit standards, policies, and local regulations to provide timely audit assurance.

Develop and implement procedures to detect and prevent fraudulent activities, including conducting investigations when necessary.

Identify opportunities to introduce efficiencies to the audit through the use of modern technology.

Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action to ensure the company remains compliant.

Ensure all audit records and documentation are accurately maintained and kept up to date.

Continually review and assess the effectiveness of the audit process, making improvements as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business administration, law, finance, or related field.

CIA or similar certification is required.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in audit, preferably with technology or payments firms.

In-depth knowledge of accounting software(s), corporate principals, and financial analysis.

Technical and Behavioral Skills

Audit software tools: enhance audit efficiency, build a data-driven analysis and track audit progress.

ERP systems: navigate these systems to extract relevant financial and operational data and assess internal controls.

MS Office: leverage software for data analysis, manipulation, mining, financial modeling, and visualization.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders and engage in cross-functional communication.

Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management.

Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference is given to Certified Public Accountant/ Chartered Financial Analyst qualifications;

Master/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is a plus;

Regional experience in the UAE is preferred;

Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic is considered a strong asset.
