Ensure adherence to the established credit policies & procedures for all the Retail Lending Products offered by Mashreqbank and its subsidiaries (Osool & Badr)
Reduce the potential Credit & Operations risk by maintaining a high level of internal control while processing all types of retail facilities.
Work in close coordination with CIC, Branches, CCRD, FTC, Remittance & TOC to meet the customers various business needs.
Ensure that the Retail Credit Operations function is adequately supported by documented procedures (SOP’s), skilled staff & the right technology.
Key Result Areas
Effectively lead & manage both wings of the Retail Operations function (RCO, CIU, CAU & RCPC) to ensure appropriate controls are built in all the working processes to avoid any losses to the bank.
Design / improve operational processes, implement new ideas and system enhancement to increase staff productivity & output quality, enhance accuracy, reduce repetitions & processing time, eliminate non-value added activities.
Manage & monitor the credit quality of the approved loans to ensure that all financial & non-financial parameters are appropriately adhered to.
Manage from end to end the Credit Control/ Documentation requirement for the Mortgage & Investment products, Personal Loans, Auto Loans and Credit Cards.
Ensure the implementation of approved policies & procedures for achieving an acceptable Audit & Consumer Examination Rating.
Provide the required feedback to product management/sales managers & branches on the launch of new products.
Report all exceptions identified in the Credit Initiation Process to the right level of authority with the respective risk assessment and recommended corrective measures.
Enhance customer service by adherence to the service level standards & the established SLA’s with the business partners.
Regular monitoring of the operation costs for Retails Operations Units, investigate cost control opportunities and implement cost saving measures.
Facilitate the decision making process across all lending products in RBG by producing an adequate MIS.
Proactively capacities the unit based on inputs provided by Ops. Excellence & the business projections.
Identify the training needs for the team members on the basis of the specific job requirement of each individual.
Identify Vectus and other support systems problems and coordinate with Mindspace for fixing such weaknesses.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Graduate with atleast 10 years of experience in the credit operations area or similar work environment
Extensive knowledge of the retail credit policy, the various retail products & operations processes
Good adaptability to systems/technology changes
Excellent analytical skills and proactive approach
Good understanding of the operations & credit risk
Good knowledge of the risk management tools
Proven managerial with interpersonal & communication skills are important for this position considering the size of the unit
