Key Accountabilities:

Test Plan Development:

Develop comprehensive test plans for parts and assemblies, covering all phases of testing from development to qualification and acceptance.

Performance Evaluation:

Evaluate the performance of mechanical equipment, structures, fluid systems, and mechanisms against established performance requirements. Analyze test results to determine positive margin and compliance.

Instrumentation:

Define and select instrumentation for test setups, analyze test responses, and correlate them with analysis and predictions to ensure accurate data collection.

Test Equipment Design:

Conceptualize and design test jigs, stands, and equipment. Authorize fabrication drawings, wiring schematics, and instrumentation lists to support testing requirements.

Test Setup Integration:

Lead the integration of jigs or test stands, including fabrication, mechanical assembly, and data/control systems integration.

Flight Hardware Handling:

Assemble and disassemble flight hardware and test equipment as required for testing purposes, ensuring proper handling and maintenance.

Facility Maintenance:

Further develop and maintain in-house testing facilities, ensuring they are up to industry standards and operational at all times.

Mentoring:

Provide guidance and mentorship to technical staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge to enhance the team’s skills and capabilities.

Experience & Education Qualifications:

Expertise: At least 11 yr. (NTC5), 9 yr. (T3), 7 yr. (T4 / B.Tech) or 4 yr. (M.Tech) of related experience, preferably, in the aerospace industry

Minimum Qualification: NTC5, T3, B.Tech / T4 or M.Tech Diploma or higher and/or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical or aerospace engineering

Defence Industry: At least 4 yr. of Test and Evaluation experience, in the aerospace or defence industry, Knowledge in the application of environmental testing in the design process.

Key Skills:

Able to deal with work-related deadlines

A thorough understanding of defence product development and production

Assume accountability and responsibilities

Strong math, CAD and Product Data Management skills

Technical communication (Written and oral.) with technical and non-technical personnel, suppliers and customers+

Visual and spatial awareness, attention to detail, problem solving
